This guitar is the Collings OM3, their orchestra model style-3. This is a very common folk guitar body shape, allowing for a lighter guitar that still projects, and provides the player with a comfortable body shape for easy playing. OM guitars usually lack some depth and resonance, but with Collings they are always able to add those features into their smaller guitars. The top of this guitar is constructed with a solid adirondack spruce top, paired with East Indian rosewood on the back and sides. Collings uses some of the finest cuts of wood you can get, and the pairing creates a rich and vibrant tone that is full of overtones and liveliness. As this guitar ages, the tone will only get richer and fuller meaning this guitar still isn't at its most lush tonal stage.
