Ode Longneck Openback Banjo
*PLEASE NOTE: ALL USED & CONSIGNMENT PURCHASES ARE FINAL SALES, NO RETURNS*
The longneck banjo was first pioneered by Pete Seeger to better accompany his deep voice with a lower pitched open tuning. Since then, the longneck banjo has seen other evolutions and applications and has become an instrument with its own unique history and purpose. This Ode model features a rosewood fretboard, wooden armrest, 12" maple pot, and Renaissance banjo head. This banjo has a dark, piercing tone that pairs nicely with the lower pitched longneck banjo configuration. In addition, this banjo features fretboard dots that align with those of a standard neck banjo, so any player familiar with that layout will be able to easily adapt on this instrument as well. Padded gig bag included.
