Here we have another fantastic handmade banjo from our pal Chuck up in Gold Hill! This is the Ute Premium 13” an openback model from Chuck’s premier line of instruments. In constructing Ute banjos, Chuck chooses his best cuts of wood available, making this model with a maple pot, and fine cuts of hardwood for the neck and fingerboard. Outside of the woods, Chuck also includes his finest hardware, and executes his best craftsmanship as he constructs these by hand. This 13” model has a large resonant body, allowing the openback to still project with ample volume. The tone on Ute banjos is bright and possesses a broad depth, making this a choice model.
