The ID Core 10 is a 1W combo tube amp, meaning it uses both tubes as well as modeling components to create the tone of the amp. To further adjust the tone of this amp, there are four knobs on the control panel. The first two are gain and master volume, allowing you to select how hot and loud you want your guitar signal to be. For that crunchy rock guitar tone, there is also an overdrive switch positioned between the gain and volume. After those two are an EQ knob to adjust frequency attenuation, and a reverb knob to add some ambiance. The final control the ID Core offers for tone is two separate footswitch channels on the back of the amp, allowing you to side-chain effects pedals. For specs outside of tone, this amp is a great choice for recording, providing a USB-C output on the back for direct recording.
