A guitar that would have been impossible to construct 200 years ago, the Taylor 314ce uses quite a unique combination of woods from around the world. For the top, Taylor sources a cut of solid sitka spruce from the Pacific Northwest, Central African sapele for the back & sides, the Pacific Islands for the tropical mahogany neck, and West Africa for the ebony fingerboard. Taylor is renowned for their wood mills, which are all owned and operated ethically, practicing sustainability for the tree species they harvest, and providing jobs and resources to the communities where their mills are operated. Beyond the woods, Taylor crafts their 300 series with their new V-Class bracing under the top wood, which gives an even and balanced projection between different frequency ranges for articulation. The 314ce is equipped with Taylor’s ES-2 pickup system, made for the most accurate projection of the wood’s natural tone through an amplifier. Sold with a Taylor hard case, this instrument is ready to go to a great musical home!
