Fresh from Eastman on our mandolin wall we have the MD314! This mandolin is an all-solid wood built with spruce for the top and maple on the back and sides. This wood combination is a classic pairing for mandolins, and helps give the instrument its signature tonal character. To pair with the body woods, this instrument has an African ebony fingerboard, which is complemented by the dark satin finish on this model. For binding, Eastman used an iviroid material, which aids in the resonance and sustain of the instrument. The final and most important specs are all on the neck! The bone nut has a width of 1 3/32 inches with a scale length of 13 7/8 inches. Come on by and try out our selection of Eastman mandolins!
