RONO 5-String Baritone Mandolin

Here we’ve got another Rono baritone mandolin! This model pioneered the advent of the baritone mandolin during the Y2K era. The construction of this mandolin is all done by Rono in his workshop, making sure every last detail is precise. Starting out, the body is semi-hollow made from Alder wood. The top is 2 pieces of Curly Maple, paired with a 3 piece Curly Maple neck. To finish out the woods used, the fingerboard and headstock are built with Indian Rosewood. Inside the neck is a two-piece truss rod to keep the neck straight. For hardware, Rono installed medium-wide low frets for the fingerboard, as well as 2 custom mando-bucker pickups, each with height adjustment. The pickups are all wired to American-made pots, along with an American-made switch and input jack! For the beautiful finish, Rono used 11 coats of nitro lacquer, ensuring this thing shines to the next century. Come on by and try out this baritone mando while it’s still here!
