Here’s a really neat J-50 from Gibson! We don’t always have an acoustic Gibson in the shop, so this is a real treat! The J-50 is a dreadnought acoustic built with a solid spruce top, and mahogany back & sides. This wood combination is used on the famous Martin D-18, though some people much prefer the craftwork done by Gibson. This J-50 was built in the early 1970s in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Many Kalamazoo Gibsons are sought after for the particular craftsmanship used in their construction. With 50 years to age as well, the woods used on this build have opened up to provide a sweet tone that is only achieved through age. Sold with a hard case, this guitar is one of my personal picks in the shop. Come on by and give it a try!!
