It’s not everyday that Woodsongs has the pleasure of selling a mandolin of this stature. Here we have a vintage John Monteleone F-style mandolin, property of only one owner throughout its lifetime. In 1982, Monteleone was considered to be the finest made mandolins in the world, and still remains as one of the pinnacle makers of the instrument. Monteleone makes all of their mandolins to order, so the consignor had this instrument custom made for them. This amazing mandolin has a premium spruce top, paired with curly maple on the back & sides. The fingerboard is a cut of the finest ebony available, with a two-piece ebony bridge. All aspects of this mandolin were hand done, with a personal touch in every step of construction. Sold with the original hardcase, including the official paperwork, this mandolin is a very special instrument.
